Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

Lead all accounting functions, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial controls.

Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and internal controls over financial reporting.

Produce and present monthly GAAP financial statements to management.

Manage WIP (Work‑in‑Progress) reporting, ensuring accuracy at monthly close.

Prepare, monitor, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets.

Support strong billing, collections, and cash‑flow management practices.

Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance, variances, and key drivers.

Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.

Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Provide financial leadership on special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Supervise, coach, and evaluate accounting team members.

Requirements Experience & Technical Skills

2–5+ years of accounting experience, including construction accounting, WIP management, GAAP financial statement preparation, G/L account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling, etc.).

3+ years of direct Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred.

Experience with construction subcontractors is a plus.

Strong understanding of financial reporting; CPA preferred but not required.

Experience with Trimble/Vista Viewpoint strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Leadership

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and evaluate a team.

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts clearly.

Highly organized with the ability to work independently.

Ability to read and write in English and/or Spanish.
