Company Overview Clopay Corporation is the nation's largest manufacturer of residential garage doors, industrial and commercial sectional and rolling doors.
Job Description & Accountabilities Purpose: Review all credit requests submitted by customers for validity and accuracy, ensuring proper documentation and processing in accordance with established Return and Allowance procedures. Perform basic credit‑related tasks (request credit applications, verify trade references, run D&B reports, request financial statements, etc.) under the direction of the Credit Manager.
Perform analysis of credit requests to determine validity and accuracy.
Process credit requests in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental and company procedures.
Quickly identify and review material ($1,000 or greater) credit requests/chargebacks to ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate product returns to Clopay facilities, ensuring credit is not issued until returns are verified.
Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve outstanding credit requests promptly.
Ensure all credits are approved per established authorization levels.
Ensure all approved credits are properly documented to prevent duplicate credits and meet Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
For denied credit requests, coordinate re‑billing and collection with the Senior Credit Analyst.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; continuing education preferred.
1-2 years of experience handling credit‑related activities within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Windows) and corporate email.
Experience with cross‑collaboration across multiple departments (Distribution Centers, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, Legal, AR/AP, etc.).
Hands‑on coding and credit auditing experience.
Soft Skills
Attention to detail.
Strong organization and collaboration across multiple departments.
Initiative on daily duties and tasks.
