Position Summary The Education Design and Development Associate provides consultation and support services in instructional design, strategies, assessment, technology, and distributed learning for instructional development projects. As a member of Life Time University (the learning and education department of Life Time) the Education Design and Development Associate will work cooperatively with the team to design and develop learning and practicing experiences to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and abilities required for their professional success. The Education Design and Development Associate will cooperatively create online learning modules, synchronous web-based training sessions, and instructor-led training. The Education Design and Development Associate will design and develop facilitation guides, participant guides and assessments as well as supporting materials following an instructional design process.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Applies tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
Creates supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
Decides on the criteria used to assess learner performance and develop assessment instruments.
Shares eLearning development best practices, ensuring compliance with development design standards, assisting where needed with audio, video and other media components.
States instructional end goals and design content that matches them
Produces mock-ups, prototypes, presentation materials and other creative LTU presentation tasks
Delivers full quality assurance for all files, including ensuring that proofreading, spell-checking and proper procedures are followed
Provides exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Develops and demonstrates a working knowledge of our brands, and produces creative products that support and strengthen the educational needs of those brands
Keeps up-to-date with current software and technology and proactively brings recommendations for improvements
Minimum Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum standards, and assessments
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Ability to define objectives for programs and courses
Ability to design program assessments and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and retention that are tied to operational goals
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Solid knowledge of course development software--Storyline experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Years of Experience
1 to 2 years experience in instructional design and development.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

Ability to effectively use Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
Pay This is a salaried position starting at $64,000.00 and pays up to $88,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
