OVERVIEW
The eLearning Developer designs and builds engaging, interactive eLearning solutions in collaboration with instructional designers, subject matter experts, developers, and graphic artists. This role focuses on transforming approved instructional designs into high-quality digital learning experiences that support online learning environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical development skills with an eye for visual design, accessibility, and learner engagement.
DUTIES
Develop, evaluate, and maintain interactive eLearning courses, working independently or collaboratively as part of an integrated development team
Build engaging and interactive eLearning modules that align with approved instructional designs and learning objectives
Develop and integrate multimedia elements, including graphics, animation, audio, video, and interactive components, into eLearning solutions
Create, modify, and maintain visual design assets used for course layouts and user interfaces
Develop custom‑branded, interactive eLearning via Articulate Storyline 360
Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and graphic artists to translate instructional requirements into effective digital learning experiences
Support instructor‑led training and blended learning solutions by developing digital assets for web‑based learning
Ensure eLearning products meet established quality, accessibility, and usability standards
Validate functionality, navigation, and learner experience prior to delivery
Incorporate feedback from reviews and testing cycles to refine and improve eLearning deliverables
Maintain organized source files and development documentation to support version control and updates
Perform other related duties as assigned in support of project and business needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
6-12 years of related work experience in Multimedia Development/eLearning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in multiple authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Camtasia) to develop interactive multimedia learning modules
Ability to provide creative technology solutions to learning requirements
Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines and project plans effectively
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other applications to create/modify graphics, animation, audio, video, multimedia, etc.
Proficiency in coding (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing e‑Learning courses
Experience in curriculum design and development, and incorporating Section 508 guidelines
Experience with adult learning theories
Excellent communication skills (written & oral) and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
