Senior Manager, Controls Transformation – Enterprise Business Services
About the Team: As part of the AI Transformation & Controls team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Walmart maintains effective internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). You’ll collaborate closely with Internal Audit, Global Internal Controls (GIC) and Ernst & Young (EY), to advance automation and analytics under the Digital Accountant initiative — transforming how we manage compliance in a digital environment. Responsibilities
Partner with GIC to align on risk assessment, SOX scope, and control methodology; ensure EBS controls comply with Walmart’s enterprise governance standards. Coordinate with EY on testing strategy, sample selections, and evidence walkthroughs; manage resolution and closure of audit findings. Advance Digital Accountant automation by identifying controls suitable for digitization and embedding analytics and workflow tools to streamline audit processes. Mentor and lead EBS team members in controls methodology, control design, and continuous improvement practices. Drive collaboration across Finance, Controllership, and Tech to integrate controls into new digital workflows and process automation projects. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 8+ years of experience in audit, SOX compliance, or internal controls. Strong understanding of SOX 302/404, COSO framework, and PCAOB standards. Experience leading in matrixed or multinational teams. Proven ability to collaborate with external auditors (EY) and cross‑functional partners. Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CIA, or CISA certification. Familiarity with SAP, BlackLine, or AuditBoard. Experience with automation and analytics tools. Exposure to large‑scale financial transformation or digital compliance initiatives. Key Competencies
