We are currently looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Asset & Wealth Management team within our Financial Services group in New York, NY. The Asset & Wealth Management Investment Banking Group provides M&A advisory and capital markets services to alternative and traditional asset managers, wealth managers, and investors in these sectors on a global basis. We are industry experts and trusted advisors, helping clients assess their strategic alternatives and delivering unconflicted advice and bespoke transaction execution. Our team is amongst the most experienced coverage groups on Wall Street, having completed over 130 transactions representing more than $100 billion in transacted deal value with an active roster of projects and a robust M&A and capital markets pipeline for 2026.
The Group is seeking to add an Analyst to its team based in New York City. The Analyst can expect immediate exposure to a variety of Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Raising Transactions, and other Strategic Advisory Projects, and will have significant long‑term growth potential and career advancement opportunities. On a day‑to‑day basis, our Analysts:
Provide critical support during all phases of transaction execution
Build financial models and perform valuation analyses
Coordinate transaction due diligence
Conduct industry‑ and company‑specific research
Interface directly with clients and senior bankers
Develop a versatile skillset that serves as a strong foundation for achieving career goals
We are seeking hard‑working individuals with demonstrated academic achievement, organizational and teamwork skills, and a long‑term commitment to growth at Piper Sandler. A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, management, or other related fields
Prior investment banking / M&A or asset & wealth management industry experience preferred
Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multi‑task, and learn quickly
Detail‑oriented and analytical mindset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude with a desire to work with and contribute to the culture of a close‑knit team
The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $110,000 – $135,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location, and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation, which will be part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
