Responsibilities Position Summary
The Maintenance Operations Planner impacts PSA Airlines’ growth by overseeing aircraft maintenance program tasks, ensuring efficient execution. Located in OCC, the planner monitors, plans, routes, and schedules required maintenance on short‑range aircraft.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze scheduling and workload planning for efficiency and compliance with maintenance requirements.
Monitor and coordinate scheduling of short‑range maintenance requirements on aircraft.
Utilize company computer systems to identify maintenance aircraft requirements and assigned/capable overnight stations for timely compliance.
Monitor aircraft status and station operations, coordinate routing/rerouting to maintain integrity of the maintenance plan and company performance objectives.
Coordinate and communicate day‑of operational changes, resolve conflicts between maintenance and daily operational schedules.
Provide oversight of the short‑range maintenance plan, advise supervisors, and dispatch coordinators on conflicts affecting the maintenance schedule.
Balance station nightly workload, coordinate with Base Stations on overnight work plans to optimize station capacity and capabilities.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure parts, materials, tooling, and manpower availability for scheduled work.
Coordinate with OCC personnel for ferry or repositioning of scheduled maintenance aircraft.
Create, review, and execute daily work orders to required maintenance bases via electronic planning platform.
Work closely with MOC & Liaison Engineering personnel to track and schedule fault/deferred maintenance items such as MELs and CDLs.
Provide daily turnover communication of critical tasks and items affecting the operation.
Ensure all specified policies, practices, and procedures are complied with.
Responsible for the company’s SMS and associated safety outputs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics Qualifications Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong analytical and computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Authorization to work in the US
Preferred
College degree or equivalent work experience or two years’ experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning/programs or related field
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
Additional Information Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Supervisor of Maintenance Planning.
Authorities: None.
Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment.
Physical Demands: This sedentary role requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using hands and arms.
