Accountant - Full Time
The Toledo Clinic is looking for a dedicated accountant to support our financial operations. This role involves preparing monthly closing entries, reconciling bank statements and balance sheet accounts, and reconciling insurance invoices to the general ledger. The accountant will also help formulate and implement accounting policies and procedures.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare certain monthly journal entries.
Prepare bank statement reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Assist with year‑end audit schedules.
Prepare reports for management as requested.
Retrieve daily bank information from the internet, complete positive pay, and transfer cash between companies.
Maintain HSR general ledger, balance sheet, and income statement.
Prepare insurance invoices and reconcile them to payroll deductions.
Assist data department with issues that affect the bank statement.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Previous accounting experience.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions and filters.
Experience with complex bank reconciliations.
Consistently arrives at work in professional attire, on time, and completes all tasks within the established timeframe.
Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co‑workers as needed.
Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.
Education
BBA in Accounting, Finance, or General Business.
