What You'll Do We have a great full‑time permanent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data and Insights Analyst to join our Membership team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics, Data Science & Digital, you will support the delivery of scalable data products and trusted reporting by working with digital analytics tools, cloud data platforms, and dashboards. The role bridges technical analytics work and business needs by helping transform digital and business data into accurate, well‑documented insights that enable marketing, product, and relevant teams to make data‑driven decisions.
This is a hybrid work arrangement, for you to work across our Sydney Olympic Parks and Sydney CBD offices, with some work from home.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in implementing scalable and reusable data products under guidance from senior analysts
Work with internal stakeholders to help translate business needs into simple technical documentation
Use digital tools including Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyse user behaviour across web and app
Collaborate with data engineers to understand data pipelines and quality controls
Help combine digital and business data to support comprehensive analysis
Support marketing and product teams in interpreting analytics findings
Participate in data validation and troubleshooting processes
Assist in the development and upkeep of dashboards in Tableau and Looker as well as maintaining existing dashboards and ensuring data accuracy under supervision
Support business as‑usual reporting needs including processes, dashboard logics and data sources by refreshing or modifying existing reports and working with product managers to gather basic reporting requirements
Help translate stakeholder needs into visual outputs with support from senior team members
Update and maintain data dictionaries and internal documentation repositories and support knowledge‑sharing efforts within the analytics team
Participate in requirement‑gathering sessions with business teams and help translate analytical findings into clear summaries & visual outputs into clear summaries for business users.
What You'll Bring Essential
1–2 years of relevant work experience in analytics or data‑related roles.
Strong working knowledge of SQL including writing queries to extract, join, and transform datasets
Hands‑on experience in data visualization tools i.e. Tableau, or Looker is a plus
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., BigQuery preferred)
Hands‑on experience or familiar with Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics for digital performance analysis
Intermediate to advanced understanding and skills with Office 365 applications
Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Developed written and verbal communication skills
High degree of organization, timemanagement and ability to prioritise tasks
Attention to detail
Desirable
Exposure to Google Tag Manager (GTM), including understanding basic tagging and event tracking concepts
Understanding of digital analytics concepts such as user journeys, funnels, and conversion tracking.
Exposure to data documentation, data dictionaries, or reporting logic documentation
