Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment Database Engineer/Reviewer
TekSynap is seeking a Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment (CORA) Reviewer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on assessing database systems and web services for compliance with DoD security standards, ensuring secure configurations and data protection. Responsibilities
Review Oracle and SQL Server configurations for STIG compliance.
Assess web services and application servers for vulnerabilities and secure deployment.
Validate encryption, authentication, and data protection mechanisms.
Review containerized web applications for secure configuration and compliance.
Provide technical support for STIG implementation and ATO documentation.
Deliver comprehensive assessment reports and actionable remediation recommendations.
Qualifications
U.S. citizenship.
Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
BS in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
8–10 years in database/web engineering or cybersecurity.
Required certifications: DoD 8140/8570 IAT III (CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
Desired certifications: Oracle OCP, Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate, GIAC GWAPT, Kubernetes CKS.
