Line Cook – Huntington Beach, CA
Base pay range: $15.50/hr - $20.00/hr. Compensation Range: $16.00 - $19.00/Hour (DOE).

Position Purpose The line cook is responsible for setting up and stocking assigned stations, preparing food for service, and cooking menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare all restaurant foods.
Demonstrate knowledge in all kitchen areas.
Read, measure, and execute recipes.
Execute computer tickets for service.
Apply necessary knife skills.
Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
Assist chefs and communicate with management and service staff.
Move furniture and equipment as directed.
Comply with safety and health department procedures.
Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure proper checkout procedures.
Clean spills and dispose of trash correctly.
Inform management of complaints or incidents.
Complete nightly, weekly, opening, running, and closing duties.
Report equipment failure or safety hazards promptly.
Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma preferred.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Valid Driver's License.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Possession or ability to obtain required state work cards.
Minimum of two years related experience.
Advanced knife skills.
Proper food storage knowledge.
Proper lifting techniques.
Guest relations skills.
Sanitation and safety knowledge.
Full‑service kitchen operations experience.
Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
Working Conditions
Indoor/outdoor work exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
Varying noise, crowds, and smoke based on guest volume.
Fast‑paced, high‑volume full‑service restaurant.
Shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Walk and stand for long periods.
Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Repeat same movements for long periods.
Understand and be understood in speech.
Speak clearly for listeners.
Push and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
