Overview
Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater service team in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities Job Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To
Research and evaluation of data
Conduct field reviews and other assessments
Prepare detailed engineering calculations
Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, presentations and exhibits.
Prepare hydraulic modeling and technical reports for agency review.
Prepare detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments; plan and profile; utility design and rehabilitation.
Prepare construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs
Coordinate with internal team members, government entities, utility service providers and subconsultants
Manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence
Perform reviews of all work product for accuracy
Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines
Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Prior exposure to AutoDesk Civil3D and Microsoft Office applications
Required Experience
0-2+ years of relevant engineering experience
BS in Civil Engineering
EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months
