Position Overview The

Clinical Specialist – VTE

plays a critical role in supporting the safe, effective, and confident use of Argon Medical Devices' portfolio of products used in the treatment and management of

Vascular Thromboembolism (VTE) . This includes technologies designed for thrombectomy, IVC filter placement and retrieval, and venous access procedures. The Clinical Specialist acts as a trusted resource for interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, and procedural teams in high‑acuity settings such as Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular Suites, Cath Labs, and Operating Rooms. In partnership with the sales team, this role ensures successful product adoption through hands‑on procedural support, clinical education, and continuous customer engagement.

What you will do

Clinical Case Support: Provide intra‑procedural clinical and technical support for VTE‑related interventions, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) treatment, IVC filter placement/retrieval, and thrombectomy procedures.

In‑Servicing & Education: Conduct detailed product education and clinical in‑servicing for physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure optimal product use, safety, and procedural outcomes.

Product Evaluations & Trials: Coordinate and lead product evaluations, new user introductions, and clinical trials related to Argon’s VTE product portfolio.

Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong clinical relationships with key stakeholders across accounts including physicians, nurse practitioners, technologists, and hospital administrators.

Sales Team Collaboration: Partner with Territory Managers and Regional Sales Managers to execute on sales strategies and provide seamless clinical coverage across assigned territories.

Inventory & Utilization Management: Monitor, manage, and replenish clinical inventory (e.g., trunk stock, consignment) to meet procedural demand and support product availability.

Resident and Fellow Education: Support training programs at teaching hospitals by coordinating VTE product education with residents, fellows, and attending physicians.

Internal Collaboration: Serve as a clinical voice within cross‑functional teams including Marketing, R&D, Training, National Accounts, and Medical Affairs to improve products and customer experience.

Best Practice Development: Collaborate with the Clinical Services team to refine education tools, develop clinical messaging, and ensure the highest level of procedural support across regions.

Clinical Data Communication: Present and explain relevant clinical literature and product efficacy data to hospital stakeholders during evaluations and education sessions.

Skills for Success

Associate’s degree in Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related clinical discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Vascular Surgery, or ICU with direct exposure to endovascular procedures.

Advanced knowledge of VTE pathology, procedural workflows, and treatment algorithms.

Ability to operate confidently in high‑pressure clinical environments, including acute PE response situations.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to educate and influence clinicians at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to think critically and resolve clinical issues in real time.

Self‑directed with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide exceptional customer support across complex hospital systems.

Strong compliance mindset with knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements.

Base Salary Range $100,000 - $140,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location and budget)
