Student Nurse Externs
to support our nursing teams while gaining hands‑on clinical experience. This role is designed for nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and want to apply classroom learning in a real‑world healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
Assist nursing staff with basic patient care under appropriate supervision
Support patient safety, comfort, and daily care activities
Observe and participate in clinical procedures as permitted by scope and training
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow Meritus policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with one year or less until graduation
Completion of a Med Surg clinical rotation and Fundamentals/ Foundations of Nursing
Active BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
GPA of 3.0 or better with submission of transcript
Two Letters of Recommendation (one from a clinical instructor)
