Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at a small manufacturing facility with a 30,000 square foot warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating a forklift to move materials within the warehouse, load semi-trucks, and support overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Load and unload semi-trucks with precision, adhering to safety protocols and securing loads for transportation.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure the forklift's optimal performance.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production demands.
Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking and recording materials movement.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently, with attention to detail.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and willingness to follow protocols.
