Job Summary & Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that improves outcomes.
Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
Operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; implement training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse.
BSN required.
Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience.
Charge RN experience.
