WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE Senior Superintendents at Allen Construction will contribute to a project team that consists of a Project Manager and field support staff. The Senior Superintendent will supervise jobsite daily activities, including, but not limited to, trade coordination, scheduling, safety, quality control, site logistics, site documentation, team project planning, and in‑house crew site management while ensuring that field operations are being managed effectively, efficiently and to Allen Construction's standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
Identify and solve constructability issues proactively
Develop, maintain, and update project schedule inclusive of providing direction to all field personnel to achieve planned completion dates.
Identify schedule delays and provide recovery planning and execution
Ensure quality workmanship conforms to original plans and specifications.
Understands project financials including budget and change management.
Support budget, cost and change order requests
Read and understand blueprints and detailed specifications
Develops, manages, and performs execution of punch list activities
Ensure a thorough understanding of each project and all contract requirements
Establish and maintain an effective and professional onsite working relationship with colleagues, architects, clients, and the public
Work closely with pre‑construction team during the preparation of estimates regarding methods, systems, schedule, time and general conditions
PRIMARY PLACE OF WORK Construction sites, corporate office, and other locations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
Twenty (20) years of experience in construction, with at least fifteen (15) years functioning as a Superintendent or equal at a commercial and/or residential construction company
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors to their understanding
Able to provide legible communication
Able to compute basic mathematical calculations
Ability to read and understand architectural plans sets
Technical understanding of residential construction, including codes, sequencing, safety, quality control, and best building practices
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
Able to gather information, prepare reports, and properly communicate same
Able to read, understand, and interpret construction change orders, contracts, and other job‑related documents
Experience with complex projects
Familiar with building and construction legal terminology
Possess a technical understanding of commercial and residential construction codes, sequencing, and best building practices
Demonstrate experience and passion for client satisfaction and care to all project stakeholders
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, and near moving mechanical parts. Includes occasional exposure to wet, humid, and/or cold conditions and to vibration. Must be able to stand, sit, squat, turn, bend, walk, operate telephone and computer, see, speak, hear, write, and lift up to 50 pounds.
