Staff Accountant

Northbay Recruiter is partnering with a scaling, multi-entity organization in search of a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will share responsibility in executing the daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks as part of the accounting cycle. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of GAAP in addition to 1-2 years general accounting experience and a willingness to jump in where needed. Strong ability to problem solve and work under tight deadlines are critical for the success of this position.

Responsibilities

Reconcile & maintain assigned accounts and perform analysis, researching any variances and identifying trends.

Perform bank and credit reconciliations for assigned accounts.

Partner with accounting staff to review and post journal entries and adjustments.

Provide back up support in the processing of daily accounting tasks as needed (AP & AR).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

1-2 years general accounting experience within a mid sized company environment, preferably with increasing responsibility

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively with teammates to resolve issues timely.

ERP & Accounting Systems experience, in addition to intermediate level Excel.

$75,000-85,000 DOE + Benefits. Must be available to regularly within an office setting.
