Job Location: In-Person, $75K/Year, 1st Shift, Full-Time
Our client is a manufacturing organization,
and they want you to join their team as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager.
Your day-to-day as an EHS Manager:
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing, warehouse, and office operations
Serve as the primary liaison with OSHA/VOSHA, EPA, and state/local regulatory agencies, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions
Implement and manage safety programs covering areas such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, PPE, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, emergency action plans, ergonomics, and fire prevention
Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and oversee corrective action implementation and injury management efforts
Own and execute company-wide safety and compliance training programs, including onboarding, refresher, and role-specific training
Maintain EHS systems, metrics, documentation, and audit-ready records while promoting a proactive safety culture
Partner with leadership to mitigate risk, support ISO and quality system requirements, and drive continuous improvement
Your skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health, environmental management, or equivalent experience
5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (construction experience considered)
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations
Proven ability to implement safety programs and training initiatives in a hands-on, “doer” capacity
Experience with incident investigations, workers’ compensation coordination, and EHS or LMS software systems
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
