Protective Services Assistant Manager – Worcester Art Museum
Worcester Art Museum seeks a detail‑oriented professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills to support daily museum operations. The role reports directly to the Protective Services Manager and combines administrative tasks with hands‑on supervision of gallery safety, event coverage, opening and closing procedures, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
Manage gallery assignments and secure coverage for call‑outs.
Conduct team briefings and oversee opening/closing procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to emergencies, including urgent security situations.
Escalate serious concerns to management when needed.
Represent Protective Services in museum‑wide meetings and supervise events as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Must be 21 years or older.
Prior supervisory experience and comfort engaging with the public.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and willingness to learn new systems.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under high‑pressure situations.
Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
