Novele, Inc.
At Novele, we are on a mission to innovate for a world where energy does more than power our lives—it sustains our planet and enriches our communities. Novele designs and manufactures intelligent energy storage solutions for the built environment, enabling a seamless transition to the efficient and practical use of traditional and renewable energy.
We are a team of experts who approach complex energy challenges with rigor and deep technical understanding. We are passionate about accelerating the energy transition, respectful in how we collaborate with teammates, customers, and partners, and honest in our communication and decision-making. We remain optimistic about what thoughtful engineering can achieve and visionary in how we design systems that scale and endure.
Novele’s first product, EnergyBoard, is the thinnest and most scalable commercial battery system in the world. Designed for dense, urban infrastructure, its modular and lightweight architecture enables installation in space-constrained environments where performance, safety, and reliability are critical.
Your Role
Novele is seeking a hands-on technician to support engineering, production, and deployment activities in our rapidly growing team. This is a highly flexible role that will work closely with engineers and operations staff to assemble, package, test, prepare, and deploy EnergyBoard systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable supporting a wide range of tasks as priorities evolve. This role is well-suited for someone who wants to grow with a hardware-focused company and gain exposure to engineering, manufacturing, and field deployment. This role requires a high degree of trust, accountability, and comfort working across changing priorities. Responsibilities
Assemble, wire, and integrate mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions and engineering guidance. Use hand and power tools to build, calibrate, and maintain systems while following strong ESD and safety practices. Support engineering builds, prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Assist with production preparation, kitting, labeling, packaging, and inventory organization. Support deployment activities as needed, including system preparation, staging, and occasional on-site assistance. Maintain clear and accurate records of assembly processes, tests, calibrations, and quality observations. Follow best practices for electronic component handling, storage, and cleanliness. Identify issues, defects, or process improvements and communicate them to the team. Perform general shop, operations, and support tasks as required. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or coursework preferred). Hands-on experience assembling mechanical and/or electrical systems, equipment, or products. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail. Basic understanding of electrical safety and ESD practices. Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience working in a production, lab, or hardware prototyping environment. Experience with wiring, crimping, connectors, or basic electrical testing. Familiarity with quality control, documentation, or manufacturing best practices. Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities. Additional Requirements
This role is based in Irvine, CA or New York, NY and requires being onsite. Ability to lift and move equipment within safety guidelines.
