Veterinary Technician - Neurology
Pieper Veterinary invites applications for Veterinary Technician – Neurology at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Middletown, CT. This is a full‑time, mid‑senior level position in a Level 1 certified hospital that offers a collaborative environment alongside specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Oncology, Surgery, and Exotics.
Base Pay Range $22.00/hr – $30.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)

About You We believe veterinary medicine is truly a team sport. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, confidence navigating client and colleague interactions, and is comfortable with restraint, venipuncture, and anesthesia. Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow is a plus. We value collaboration and want your insights to make a real difference.
Anticipated Schedule 4 days a week, 10‑hour shifts. Weekend shifts and holidays are required.
Compensation $22.00‑$30.00 an hour, dependent upon experience and certifications.
Additional Compensation Additional compensation available for VTS or candidates actively pursuing certification.

Requirements
1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience.
Associate's in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
CVT license is a plus.
Phlebotomy skills.
IV catheterization (peripheral).
Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients.
Knowledge of basic laboratory tests.
Knowledge of use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of principles for providing client and personal services: client needs assessment, meeting quality standards, evaluating client satisfaction.
Knowledge of English language structure, spelling, composition, grammar.
Ability to work independently and accept direction.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
