VECCS Level 1 Certified Hospital
includes specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery and Exotics and a full staff of experienced Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarians. With the support of their technicians, assistants, and liaisons the hospital teams work closely together to deliver the highest quality of care.
About You: We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a
team sport , and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same.
The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable with
anesthesia, various drug calculations and protocols , and
excels at anesthetic monitoring . Previous experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, as well as restraint are also crucial for this role. Experience with CPR, EzyVet and Smartflow are an additional plus, but not required.

A VTS (Anesthesia and Analgesia) is highly desirable (not required) and would receive additional compensation.
Compensation: $24.00-$30.00/hour dependent upon experience
Anticipated schedule: This is a full-time schedule:
3 days a week - Saturday and Sunday required plus 1 weekday shift - 7am-7pm
4 days a week - Saturday - 8am-6pm plus 3 weekday shifts - 9am-7pm

Requirements
Experience with common induction agents/anesthetic agents/analgesia agents
Ability to calculate CRIs and perform other medical math
Experience with ventilators
Experience with specialty anesthesia (emergent procedures specifically) is a must
Can read ECG, capnograph and respond appropriately
Knowledge on how and when to use a non-rebreather circuit
Knowledge when to react with BP readings and what to do in each situation
Skilled in time management with an understanding of the importance of table times
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
