The family is seeking an experienced, warm, proactive, and organized Nanny/Housekeeper who enjoys balancing hands‑on childcare with keeping a household running smoothly. Both parents work and travel.
While all children are in school, the primary focus of the role is household support and children‑related housekeeping, with attention to shared spaces such as the kitchen. The household is fully staffed, including a full‑time housekeeper, private chef, and a Monday through Friday nanny, and this role works collaboratively within that team.
Core Responsibilities Childcare:
Engage the children in play, outings, and age‑appropriate activities
Coordinate and accompany children to playdates, classes, and activities
Bedtime and bathtime routines
Read with the children and support learning and development
Support and oversee homework completion
Prepare children for school, classes, and after‑school activities
Manage children’s laundry and maintain organized wardrobes
Restock children’s supplies and household essentials related to their care
Household Support (Housekeeping & Organization)
Maintain tidy play areas, children’s bedrooms, and bathrooms
Reset common areas daily
Load and unload the dishwasher and keep the kitchen counters clean
Sweep and perform light vacuuming as needed
Organize closets, toys, and children’s spaces
Run errands and manage inventory for child‑related needs
Let the dog out as needed and keep the water bowl filled
Weekly Flow Snapshot
Wednesday to Friday:
Focus on household operations while the children are at school. Handle afternoon school pickup, accompany the children to activities, engage in play, and support evening bath and bedtime routines.
Saturday and Sunday:
Weekend support focused on childcare and household needs while the children are home with their parents. Occasional travel to the family’s Upstate New York home is required.
Qualifications
5+ years of recent, relevant experience
Experience working with school‑age children
Familiarity with working in a UHNW household
Must be able to travel; including occasional travel up to two weeks at a time (usually over summer)
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to update)
Able to swim
Strong communicator
Team player who can work independently and collaboratively
Pet‑friendly (one small dog)
Organized, dependable, and proactive; takes initiative

Compensation & Benefits This role offers a minimum annual salary of $130,000, with additional compensation for overtime and travel.
Hourly pay: approximately $45–55/hour gross DOE. Overtime is 1.5× after 40 hours/week
Paid time off: 10 vacation days; 5 sick/personal days
Holidays: Employees are expected to work holidays that fall on their scheduled work days. Holidays are paid at 1.5 times regular pay.
