Position Overview This position supports the Coordinator and Program Manager in creating a safe, engaging environment for children in kindergarten through 4th grade. This role involves supervising activities, promoting positive behavior, and assisting with daily operations during out-of-school hours. Position Purpose The purpose of this position is to provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children by assisting with program operations, engaging in activities, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Primary Responsibilities Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: Supervise and engage with children in kindergarten through 4th grade during out-of-school hours, including before and after school and on non-school days. Actively participate in and facilitate daily activities, ensuring all children are engaged and included. Promote positive behavior by encouraging cooperation, sharing, manners, and constructive use of time. Maintain an accurate count of children in the group and ensure their safety at all times. Supervise high school staff and provide guidance as needed. Develop and implement a variety of activities for children during each shift. Monitor and support children who may need extra encouragement to participate in group activities. Complete and process accident and head injury reports, notifying parents of significant injuries in a timely manner. Enforce discipline in accordance with Kids Corner policies. Prepare and serve snacks, ensuring proper cleanup afterward. Assist with student transitions, including retrieving children from classrooms and riding the bus when necessary. Qualifications Experience in supervising staff, excellent rapport with children and parents, ability to uphold policies and procedures in absence of the coordinator and program manager, excellent communication and customer relation skills, time management, planning and organization skills. Licensing Requirements No licensure is required for this position. Salary and Benefits The starting pay for this position is between
