Job Description Job Description Manufacturing Engineer Permanent / Direct Hire Position Location: Rockford, IL Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + Quarterly Bonus Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Travel: Rare (0–5%) Overview Co-Staff is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements, optimize production systems, and support lean manufacturing initiatives. This role will focus on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality across machining and assembly operations. Key Responsibilities Lead continuous improvement and Kaizen projects Conduct time studies and analyze process / machine capabilities Optimize CNC tooling, fixtures, and plant layouts Troubleshoot production issues and reduce scrap / rework Develop and maintain routings, work instructions, and quality documentation Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience 3+ years in a manufacturing environment Experience with 3D CAD and reading complex engineering drawings Strong understanding of lean principles and process improvement Preferred Experience with CNC programming, heat treat, grinding, roll forming Knowledge of one-piece flow, Kanban, and workstation design Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Education Bachelor's (Required) Job Types Full-time, Permanent Pay $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Ability to Relocate Rockford, IL 61102 : Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
