Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11212
Duration: 3 Months + (Possible Extension)
Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr. on W2(Negotiable) Schedule: 3 days per week, 11.5 hours per day Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 8:15 AM; every other weekend required; no RTO for new contracts)
Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience in acute, chronic, and critical care for adult, pediatric and neonatal preferred.
Education Requirements: · Minimum of an associate degree. · Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program for respiratory therapy (two-year program).
Preferred Education: · Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or related field preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure: · Must maintain continuing education credits as required for NBRC credential and NYS License. · Must have a current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certificate. · Must have a current NYS license as a Respiratory Therapist. · Must have current BLS certification.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure: · ACLS certification preferred. · NYFD G-71 certificate preferred. · Active member of AARC and NYDART preferred.
Position Summary: · The Registered Respiratory Therapist is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team. · The Respiratory Therapist will utilize his/her knowledge, judgment and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate respiratory care for patients under his/her care. · Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to coordinate the highest quality respiratory care for the patients with an emphasis on compassion.
