Description Four (4) temporary positions to operate a variety of equipment such as tractors, mowers, and small trucks, chainsaws, pruners, brush chippers and other hand tools. Ability to assist in right-of-way planting and seed harvesting. Assist in placement and/or repair of road signs and other traffic service facilities. Direct traffic during road maintenance activities. Assist crews on bridge and/or culvert projects. Performs other related work as required by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent prior to start of employment required
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Knowledge and ability in the operation of tools and equipment and the ability to learn operation of equipment
Ability to perform manual labor
Ability to work outside under various weather conditions
Ability to follow safety rules
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Must pass a County physical examination which includes a drug test after offer of employment
Regular work attendance required
Shift Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
