Warehouse Nightshift Supervisor – Brown Foodservice, Inc.

Job Description In the Warehouse Nightshift Supervisor position, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and maintaining efficient warehouse operations related to product selection, restocking, inventory control, training, and other activities. You will directly supervise nightshift warehouse employees and report to the Warehouse Manager at our Louisa, KY location. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.
Responsibilities
Supervise warehouse operations in accordance with operations policies, food/personal safety regulations, and company policies and procedures for personnel.
Supervise employees assigned to the warehouse and conduct personnel evaluations, evaluate performance, and oversee training as needed.
Conduct disciplinary action as needed.
Responsible for shift scheduling, including employee assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, and overtime assignments.
Supervise and maintain a safety program for all workers assigned to the warehouse.
Review work processes, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
Work with the Transportation department on getting labels processed and assigned to the picking crew and coordinate with the Manager, VP of Operations, and HR for appropriate staffing levels for the night shift.
Supervise and maintain the shipping dock area to ensure products are staged and loaded properly for shipment.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). College degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced computer skills required; proficient with office applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to influence and be seen as a team player.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills to work across multiple departments while managing multiple priorities.
Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
Ability to operate a pallet jack, electric walkie, and/or forklift.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to accomplish the essential job functions.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
Basic math skills required.
Active listening skills; independent thinking/decision‑making skills.
Ensure attendance and punctuality within company standards.
