Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized deli environment.
Assist the department manager with sales and profit goals, and monitor quality‑assurance standards.
Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to customer requests.
Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen equipment such as fryers and slicers.
Label, date, cover, rotate, and monitor deli items for quality and freshness.
Respond to customer inquiries, provide product knowledge, and use suggestive‑selling techniques.
Adhere to all food‑safety regulations and guidelines.
Support the team by demonstrating

Requirements
Outstanding customer‑service skills.
Desire to learn food‑production basics and cooking techniques.
Effective communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with urgency.
Basic math skills.
Ability to obtain a current food‑handler permit once employed.
