Deli/Clerk – Fred Meyer (Part‑time)
Join the Fred Meyer family as a Deli Clerk and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a safe, clean and profitable deli department.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and display a wide variety of cold‑case, fresh‑pack, salad and hot‑bar items per customer requests.
Measure, mix and label ingredients according to recipe and maintain product quality, freshness and safety.
Adhere to all food‑safety regulations, department standards and Kroger core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitoring quality‑assurance standards.
Provide excellent customer service, address needs in a timely manner and model suggestive selling techniques.
Perform essential functions of the position and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Outstanding customer service skills.
Basic understanding of food production, cooking techniques and basic math.
Effective communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Good basic math skills.
Ability to obtain current food‑handlers permit once employed.
