Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on convenience stores and quick-service restaurants, including the installation of food and beverage equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in conceptual budgeting, design-build project delivery, and a strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope of work and project requirements.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for all aspects of the project, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare conceptual budgets for potential projects based on preliminary information.
Participate in design-build projects by providing cost estimates and value engineering options throughout the design process.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Prepare and present cost estimates to project team and clients.
Review and analyze historical cost data to identify trends and improve future estimates.
Maintain accurate and organized project files and records.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the commercial sector.
Experience with food and beverage equipment installation is a plus.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
