Description Quipt Home Medical is a rapidly growing leader in the provision of clinical respiratory equipment and service in the durable medical equipment industry. We are looking for driven individuals to grow with us.
Position Summary As a Customer Service Representative, you are a direct point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, or commercial accounts that reach us in person, by telephone, or via the internet. You provide equipment and/or services, handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and process customer orders accurately and courteously.
Essential Responsibilities
Have a comprehensive understanding of all products, company policies, Brightree functions, intake procedures, insurance verification, CMN requirements, and documentation requirements.
Answer the telephone using the company’s professional greeting and take complete, accurate messages.
Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate personnel.
Distribute mail and monitor the fax machine, directing correspondence appropriately.
Qualify orders, verify insurance, and process third‑party billing.
Input orders into the computer system and process work orders and prescriptions.
Arrange convenient delivery/pickup times with patients and caregivers.
Handle customer complaints using appropriate techniques and follow‑up logs.
Audit and file all delivery, pick‑up, or exchange paperwork daily.
Track active rentals, auto‑reorders, and concentrator maintenance.
Obtain prior authorization numbers and log them into the database.
Obtain verbal and written orders from physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Process billing, posting, insurance, denials, and orders accurately and on time.
Maintain all patient files and information current.
Participate in company training programs and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Assist with quality assurance reports and instruct customers on proper equipment use.
Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform scheduled hours, staggered shifts, and any required duties at other company locations.
May perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to the position.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a clerical or customer service environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Proficient general office skills (typing, computer, fax, filing, multiple phone lines)
Neat personal appearance with pleasing manner and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills with capacity to make independent decisions
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and insurance billing, bookkeeping or medical office preferred
Continuing Education As designated by management, include company in-services and off‑site training programs as appropriate to industry and position.
