A Day in the Life
Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner, and be highly mobile to assist patients, families, and visitors, including transport or arranging transportation as needed. Obtain and verify all required patient information for the registration system in an expedient manner. Provide clear information to promote patient understanding of procedures, expectations, and the hospital environment. Exercise a high degree of control over confidential medical information and keep the work area orderly and properly stocked. Access department communications daily via telephone voice mail and/or e-mail, and make requested changes to information‑collection procedures immediately. Act as a preceptor for new hires, providing all levels of education required for that position. Perform other duties as assigned by the PAS leadership team. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or two years of formal education or equivalent experience. Two years of work experience in customer service, healthcare, or a business‑related field. Eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus. Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have laboratory‑confirmed immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. All employees are also required to receive a flu vaccine during flu season in the year of hire or annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption. Seniority level
