Job Summary Service Supervisor responsible for supervising staff and operations for collection and disposal of refuse, recycling, brush and bulky waste, ensuring daily safety compliance and effective operations. Responsibilities Supervise staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Provide and/or coordinate staff training. Monitor crew work during collection operations and perform regular safety audits. Ensure proper care of equipment, vehicles, and tools. Conduct frequent meetings and informal huddles with subordinates. Maintain records, prepare reports, make presentations, and enter data into a database. Operate vehicles and equipment over 26,000 G.V.W. Provide information to the public and investigate complaints. Perform overtime hours as required to complete assignments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus related vocational training. Four years of increasingly responsible experience. Class B Texas driver’s license with CDL endorsement. Municipal Solid Waste A licensure preferred. Pay Pay Grade SW09 / Full Pay Range: $35.88–$47.24 per hour. Department The Solid Waste Services Department is responsible for solid waste collection and disposal services, including residential recycling, brush and bulky waste, and special waste collection.
