Clinical Director – Behavioral Health (Children & Adolescents) Flagstaff, AZ Full-Time | Onsite About the Opportunity We are seeking a
mission-driven, highly skilled Clinical Director
to lead clinical operations for
children and adolescent behavioral health services
in
Flagstaff, Arizona . This leadership opportunity is ideal for a licensed behavioral health professional with strong clinical supervision experience and a proven background working with
youth in crisis and high-acuity settings .
The Clinical Director will oversee clinical quality and programming specific to
child and adolescent populations , supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff development and training. This role is essential to delivering
trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and evidence-based care
to children, adolescents, and their families.
Compensation & Benefits Starting Salary:
$105,040 annually On-Call Stipend:
$670/month (begins upon entering rotation) Phone Stipend:
$45/month
Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision & Leadership Provide clinical supervision in accordance with
Arizona Administrative Code , with a focus on child and adolescent services Ensure supervision hours are met and accurately documented Conduct individual and group supervision, including direct observation Support clinical staff through
youth crisis interventions , critical incidents, and complex clinical decision-making Maintain ethical, legal, and regulatory compliance in all pediatric behavioral health practices
Program Oversight & Clinical Excellence Review, enhance, and implement
child- and adolescent-specific clinical programming
using evidence-based practices Partner with Leadership and Quality teams to complete fidelity audits Assist in developing new
youth-focused programs, specialty tracks, and training materials Provide technical assistance to ensure clinical competency and consistency in serving minors
Case Review, Consultation & On-Call Support Lead weekly clinical staffings focused on child and adolescent cases Provide consultation during regular business hours and assigned on-call rotations Support escalated concerns involving
children, adolescents, and families Collaborate with internal teams, families, schools, and external partners to ensure coordinated care
Administrative & Supervisory Duties Supervise Clinical Managers and Discharge Supervisors (as applicable) Participate in interviews, hiring decisions, and onboarding for youth-focused clinical staff Complete required documentation, scheduling, and reporting Maintain accurate supervision, licensure, and compliance records
Required Qualifications Education & Licensure Master’s degree in a behavioral health–related field Current Arizona Associate or Independent Licensure
as one of the following: Psychologist Social Worker Counselor Marriage & Family Therapist Substance Abuse Counselor Behavioral Health Medical Practitioner Psychiatric Registered Nurse
Required Experience Demonstrated experience providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents 1–3 years of behavioral health experience required , preferably in
pediatric, crisis, residential, or high-acuity youth settings
Additional Requirements AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card Valid Arizona Driver’s License & clean 39-month MVR Ability to type
40 WPM
and proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to travel to multiple locations as needed Strong leadership, communication, and youth crisis-management skills
