Position: Day Program Skills Instructor Location: Positions open in Wakefield, Woburn, or Beverly (MA) Salary: $18 per hour Hours: Full time or Part time, Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm ***Communitas is offering full time and part time hours on a seasonal basis*** If you're a college student home for the holiday breaks and looking to gain experience - great! Summary: Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities and enhance their work skills through classroom and community services. Roles and Responsibilities: Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities Enhance work skills within classroom and community settings Mentor individuals to enhance independence Think creatively to adapt your own interests, such as art, music, and health & fitness, to teach individuals new skills Develop and implement curriculum both inside and outside the classroom Create and implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) Plan and oversee community-based activities Assess individual needs, help create teaching programs Provide personal care and assistance to individuals as they strive to reach their goals Qualifications: High School diploma is required Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred A passion and dedication to supporting our people A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Must pass a CORI background check, fingerprinting, and reference check Benefits of working with us!
