Duration: 6+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Rotational Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients for routine health checks or critical health decisions. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while adhering to established procedures. The Phlebotomist I ensures patient trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing collections safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times.
- Execute forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently and in compliance with established practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required .
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred .
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA).
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required ; 1+ year preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Additional Details
- Reliable transportation to/from worksite is mandatory (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Must be punctual and available for scheduled shifts; excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination.
- Candidates should live within a 20–25 minute commute to ensure consistent attendance.
