Front Office Assistant - Willowbrook We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer‑oriented Front Office Assistant to join the Oncology Consultants team in Willowbrook. In this role you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming experience while efficiently handling front‑office operations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors, answering inquiries and directing them through the registration process. Use a multi‑line phone system, fax, printer, copier, and scanner to process patient registrations. Answer calls and transfer them to the appropriate staff. Register patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect payments using the relevant software systems. Maintain accurate patient demographics, process payments, and post patient balances. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Keep the front‑office area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety procedures. Assist with discharge procedures, support office and clinical staff, and close the office at shift end. Provide front‑office coverage at other locations as required. Perform additional clerical duties as needed. Qualifications 1+ year experience as a front‑office assistant in a healthcare setting. Minimum of a high‑school diploma. Knowledge of health insurance plans (HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.). Proficient with basic computer software; ability to learn billing and electronic medical record systems. Strong multitasking ability, good computer skills, and a positive, personable attitude. Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare staff. Understanding of OSHA/HIPAA guidelines. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
