Our Housekeeping Supervisor is the lead housekeeper on a team. This position oversees all housekeeping duties during their shift. This person will assist where needed to ensure optimum service to our guests.

Responsibilities

Supervises housekeeping staff as duties are being performed.

Hosts daily meetings and assigns housekeeping tasks to ensure efficient completion of delegated duties.

Performs duties of housekeeping staff as scheduled.

Manages cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinates repairs and requests supply orders as needed.

Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints in regard to housekeeping services.

Uses designated checklists to inspect guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer areas, ice machine areas, internal service areas (linen closets, staff restrooms, storage areas, etc.).

Uses designated checklists to inspect public areas such as public bathrooms, restaurants, spa, pool areas, offices and other department internal service areas.

Assists guests with questions and basic requests.

Provides a high level of customer service at all times in a professional manner.

Provides orientation and comprehensive training for new housekeeping employees and support staff.

Meets with other department managers and supervisors regularly in order to provide progress reports and address issues.

Acts as a key communication link between guests and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

Effectively utilizes basic Microsoft Office Suite and hotel operations software following established protocols.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required

Previous experience in housekeeping supervision

Exceptional customer service skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Good time management and organizational skills

Conflict resolution experience

Patience and good listening skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends as needed
