Reading Tutor Volunteer — 1 Hour/Week Impact (K‑5)

A community outreach nonprofit is seeking volunteer tutors to make a difference in the lives of K-5 students through Heart House’s Reading Homeroom program. Tutors will work 1-on-1 with students at elementary schools, focusing on phonics, writing, and reading comprehension. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as volunteers receive comprehensive training. A commitment of one hour per week for the school year is required to promote literacy and emotional learning among students, many of whom are English Language Learners.
