REPORTS TO Designated Supervisor and General Manager
POSITION SUMMARY The Server is responsible for greeting guests and taking food and drink orders. The Server must communicate that orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Greet guests and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout their dining experience.
Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the campground.
Ensure that outlets are sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and set up correctly at the start of and throughout the shift while adhering to sanitation, safety, and food and beverage control policies.
Clear, clean and reset tables as needed.
Operate the POS system.
Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
Know and communicate the menu, answer questions and make recommendations to guests.
Follow cash drawer policies and KOA cash and credit card handling procedures.
Increase revenues through up‑selling strategies and ancillary income.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness.
Know fire extinguisher locations and how to operate them in the restaurant/kitchen.
Handle chemicals safely in accordance with department standards and use proper PPE when appropriate.
Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale and is dedicated to delivering KOA’s Culture, Mission, Values and Goals.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Strong communication and collaboration with kitchen team.
Timely delivery of food and beverage.
Adherence to all KOA, federal, state and local standards and codes.
Provide a safe work environment for guests and staff.
Meet quality assurance standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Speak and read English fluently.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills, with ability to manage confrontation.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment.
Motivated, goal‑oriented and results driven.
Maintain confidentiality.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand for long periods of time.
Lift up to 50 pounds; lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and move safely over uneven terrain.
Work inside and outdoors in various climates.
