Dance Teacher Finder LLC
We are searching for a dance teacher for our Beginner – Advanced Hip Hop dancers. We are looking for someone with teaching experience who is excited to join a team of instructors for the 2024-2025 dance year at TLDS. Our Dance teacher will be responsible for creating a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
We are looking for someone to teach 2 hours of hip hop on Wednesday nights in the 2024-2025 year. Training would be paid and begin as soon as September, 2024. There are two performances a year (December and June). There is room to grow in other styles and more hours in the future.
Duties:
Develop and implement engaging and challenging dance lessons that cater to students of all skill levels and ages. Plan and prepare lesson plans that align with our current student capabilities while finding new ways to challenge and excite our dancers. Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful environment for all students. Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them improve their technique and build their confidence. Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth and development. Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to dance education. Participate in performances, and may be required to assist with event coordination. Qualifications:
Experience teaching dance to children (recommended) Experience with special education or adult education is a plus. Excellent behavior management skills. Experience with lesson planning. A background in childcare is desirable. The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A passion for dance and a commitment to sharing that passion with students. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 2 per week
