Position Overview
The Alabama School of Math and Science seeks an adjunct Math Instructor to teach one class each term, starting the second term of the year and totaling three classes per year on an 11‑week trimester system. Adjunct salary is $2,200 per class; a Master’s or Ph.D. and teaching experience are required. Responsibilities
Develop lesson plans aligned with College Board standards for Honors Algebra I and II. Deliver engaging instruction and assess student performance, preparing students for AP exams. Maintain student records, manage classroom, and collaborate with faculty, librarian, and school staff. Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and mentoring activities. Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field; teaching experience with AP or college‑level coursework preferred. Strong knowledge of curriculum and College Board requirements. Commitment to student academic success and engagement. Compensation & Terms
Stipend $2,200 per term, paid 11/16, 3/16, and 6/16. Position is part‑time and supports the academic mission of ASMS.
