Time Commitment: Part or Full Time Responsibilities and Expectations: ● Integrate Islamic teachings, values, and ethics into various subjects while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. ● Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. ● Classroom Instruction and Management: ○ Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and collaboration. ○ Implement effective classroom management techniques that encourage student participation, cooperation, and responsibility. ○ Use innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience. ● Assessment and Progress Monitoring: ○ Assess students’ academic progress, social development, and learning needs through various assessment tools and observations. ○ Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with colleagues to address individual learning needs. ○ Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and development. ● Professional Development and Collaboration: ○ Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices. ○ Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment. ○ Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events. ● Community Engagement: ○ Foster strong partnerships with parents/guardians through effective communication and involvement in school activities. ○ Engage with the local community to promote the school’s values and initiatives through outreach programs or events. Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). ● Valid Teaching certificate issued by the New York State Education Department is preferred ● The basics of Islamic knowledge that includes but not limited to: aqeedah, fiqh, ● Fluent in English with excellent communication skills ● Additional fluency in Arabic preferred ● Patient and empathetic ● At least one year of relevant experience ● Previous experience in teaching Islamic Studies and Quran recommended. 322 Troy Schenectady Rd, Latham, NY 12110, USA
