Description Department: Middle School (Grades 7-8) Reports to: Principal (Lindsey Harrahill)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher for grades 7 and 8 for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate has strong math content knowledge and a commitment to engaging students through effective instruction and differentiation while supporting the Catholic mission of the school.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach math to students in grades 7 and 8 using curriculum-aligned instruction
Design and deliver lessons that incorporate differentiation to meet diverse learning needs
Foster conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
Integrate Catholic values into classroom culture and daily interactions
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics concepts and instruction
Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learners
Effective classroom management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students
Willingness to support and participate in the Catholic mission and faith life of the school
Education and Experience:
Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
Valid teaching certification
Middle school teaching experience preferred but not required
