Administrative Assistant - St. Joseph Catholic School The Administrative Assistant supports the school office by providing clerical, organizational, and student-centered assistance while fostering a welcoming, faith-filled environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is proactive and creative, and is comfortable using technology to support school operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet students, families, staff, and visitors with professionalism and warmth

Provide general administrative and clerical support (answering phones, managing emails, filing, scheduling, etc.)

Assist students who come to the office with minor needs or injuries (basic first aid and comfort care)

Support teachers and administrators with day-to-day tasks and special projects

Use technology and digital tools to create documents, flyers, communications, and other school materials

Help maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming front office environment

Uphold and support the mission and values of Catholic education

Qualifications

Previous administrative or office experience preferred

Enjoys working with children and interacting with families

Organized, dependable, and a self-starter with a positive attitude

Creative, flexible, and willing to take initiative

Comfortable using technology (Google Workspace, email, basic design tools, school databases, etc.)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Supportive of the mission and values of the Catholic Church

Compensation Type: Hourly

Notes: Hourly; benefits available
