Sonora Behavioral Health is Arizona's largest inpatient psychiatric hospital. We provide stabilization treatment of mental health and chemical dependency issues affecting children, adolescents, adults and active duty military personnel. Job Summary Sonora Behavioral Health has an immediate need for a part-time Food Service Worker to perform routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods in the facility. Successful candidates will be able to work some evenings/weekends and have a level one fingerprint clearance card.
Essential Functions
Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.
Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.
Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.
Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters and appropriate regulatory requirements.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Must be eligible and/or have a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (as required per program requirements).
Must be 21 years of age or older per Arizona Admin code R9-10-406.
Qualifications
Education: High School or G.E.D.
Certificates: ServSafe required
Experience: At least one year in quantity food production experience with attention to quality and food safety standards.
Work Schedule Variable days and shifts, including holidays.
Requirements Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, ServSafe certification, clear background and drug screen.
