Kenwood Inn & Spa, a boutique property within the Four Sisters Inns collection, is seeking a warm, reliable, and detail‑oriented Breakfast Buffet Cook to join our team. This is a hands‑on, guest‑facing role for someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys following a set menu, and genuinely loves creating a welcoming morning experience for guests.
Schedule and Hours
Part‑time position, 30 to 36 hours per week
Five days per week
Shift begins at 6:00 am and ends approximately 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, depending on hotel occupancy
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast items according to a preset menu
Set up, maintain, restock, and break down the breakfast buffet
Ensure the buffet is visually appealing, fresh, and inviting throughout service
Interact warmly with guests, answer questions, and assist as needed during breakfast service
Bake fresh cookies daily
Set up snacks for the afternoon wine hour
Assist with general kitchen and dining room duties as needed, including prep, restocking, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness
Work collaboratively with a kitchen assistant and step into any role as needed to support smooth service
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service area
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
What We're Looking For
Experience cooking breakfast or working in a buffet or hospitality setting preferred
An eye for detail and an understanding of how presentation impacts the guest experience
Comfort following a set menu and established procedures
A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
Enjoys interacting with guests and being part of the guest experience
Baking skills are a plus
Must be reliable, organized, and able to work early mornings
Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
