Job Description
The Chef de Cuisine will execute the menu at a high level and work in collaboration with the Oxford Commons’ Executive Chefto support the vision and ambience of the bar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Hire, train, and schedule staff appropriately for the volume
Execute the Casa Cami menu at an exceptional level
Provide feedback to the Oxford Commons Culinary Director to support the existing menu or make suggestions for additions or changes that will enhance guest experience
Ensure food safety standards are met or exceeded
Monitor food cost controls and react to changing sales or cost trends that impact results
Coordinate with the Front-of-House management to ensure that the kitchen fully supports smooth and exceptional service
Work with the Food & Beverage Director and hotel management to ensure that Casa Cami is able to support room occupancy, as well as outside guests
Develop a thorough knowledge of Marriott’s Culture and the practice of Basics of Brilliant Hosting
JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience
3+ years’ experience as kitchen manager or Sous Chef
Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows
Able to communicate well with staff, management, and guests
Physical Requirements for the position The Chef de Cuisine will regularly stand, walk, talk, carry, bend, stoop, turn, and lift in excess of fifty (50) pounds. There will be some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
